Real-time generative AI — interactive installation, presented across multiple nights at Ozora Festival.

In collaboration with the festival, Skywalker Visuals brought The Oracle to Ozora’s Mirador — a real-time interactive installation where presence itself became the art. No two moments repeated: every touch shaped a visual that existed once and never again.

Set within Ozora's night landscape, The Oracle drew participants into a projection-mapped portal built from polywood, glowing with AI-generated visuals that responded to touch and voice in real time. People stayed for hours. Minds were tripped, boundaries dissolved, strangers became co-creators of the same living visual.

The Build

Before any electronics went in, the structure came together by hand:

• Painting the polywood — the cutout panels were hand-painted first, setting the surface and finish before any mounting began

• Framing the canvas — the projection canvas was framed and mounted, positioned to be lit from behind — the projector faces the canvas from the rear of the structure rather than front-projecting onto it

• Mounting the LiDAR — only once the painted structure and framed canvas were in place was the LiDAR sensor mounted at the top center, ready to track audience touch

Technical Setup

• Projector — mounted behind the structure, rear-projecting onto the framed canvas set within the ~2.5m × 4m polywood portal
• LiDAR Sensor — mounted top-center, tracking audience touch on the screen in real time
• Real-Time AI System — PC running TouchDesigner with a StreamDiffusion pipeline, translating sensor and voice input into a continuously evolving "AI brush"

Prompts

Prompts used for the generative AI cover themes including sacred geometry, cyberdelic future-tech, extraterrestrial entities, psychedelic bio-mechanics and high-velocity aerodynamic forms. The dataset is structured into distinct character motifs and contrasting visual attributes to drive dynamic frame-to-frame transitions and high-frequency textural detail in StreamDiffusion.
